Meet Rachel ✳

Hello and welcome!

I’m Rachel, a clinical hypnotherapist, former teacher, therapist, and founder of The Nest Hypnotherapy. Over the years, I’ve helped children, teens, and adults learn how to manage anxiety, build confidence, and create lasting emotional change—using the power of their own minds.

This course is all about helping you become your own therapist.

That means learning to understand how your mind and body respond to stress, and gaining practical tools to soothe yourself, shift your thinking, and feel more in control—whenever you need to. You’ll learn how to use simple techniques like self-hypnosis, visualisation, and relaxation to gently retrain your nervous system and change the stories you tell yourself.

You don’t need to be “good at relaxing” or know anything about hypnosis—just bring an open mind and a willingness to explore. I’ll guide you step-by-step, with warmth and encouragement, as you build a toolkit you can carry with you for life.

What you’ll get…

  • Each lesson is carefully crafted by a qualified teacher and hypnotherapist to guide you step-by-step through the process of self-hypnosis. The lessons break down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand explanations, making it accessible for everyone—even if you’re new to hypnosis or relaxation techniques.

  • Alongside each lesson, you’ll find practical exercises designed to help you practise and apply the techniques with confidence. These exercises are straightforward and manageable, allowing you to build your skills gradually and experience real, positive changes in your mindset and wellbeing.

  • This course empowers you with practical tools and techniques so you can confidently guide your own mental and emotional wellbeing. By learning how to use self-hypnosis and positive suggestion, you gain lifelong skills to manage stress, overcome negative thoughts, and create the changes you want—anytime, anywhere.

Course FAQ

  • Hypnosis is a natural, focused state of attention where your mind becomes more open to positive suggestions. It involves narrowing your awareness to a single idea, allowing your subconscious to engage and facilitate meaningful change.

  • Yes, self-hypnosis is a safe and natural process. It’s akin to daydreaming or being deeply absorbed in a book. You remain in control and can end the session at any time.

  • Most people can experience hypnosis to some degree. Factors like focus, imagination, and willingness play a role. Hypnosis is a skill, like any skill, it takes practise-the more you practise it, the better you will become at it!

  • Consistency is key. Many individuals notice subtle changes within a week of daily practice. Over time, with regular sessions, deeper and more lasting changes can occur.

  • It's common to feel deeply relaxed, and some may drift into light sleep. However, your subconscious mind remains receptive, and you can still benefit from the hypnosis.

  • Feelings of deep relaxation, focused attention, and a sense of calm are good indicators. If you’re experiencing these, you're likely on the right track.

  • Change takes time. Be patient with yourself. Regular practice, even if subtle at first, leads to cumulative benefits.

  • Absolutely. Self-hypnosis can complement other therapeutic approaches. However, it's important to consult with a healthcare professional if you have specific medical concerns.

  • This course is designed to be self-paced and flexible to fit your lifestyle. Typically, it takes about 4 -6 weeks to complete when you allow time to practice the exercises in between lessons. Regular practice, especially of the relaxation and imagination exercises, helps reinforce the positive changes you’re aiming for. Feel free to move at your own speed and revisit any parts as often as you like to deepen your progress.
