Hypno Sound Bath
Hypnosis • Sound • Deep Relaxation
Permission to stop.
When did you last spend an entire hour doing absolutely nothing?
Life gives us very little opportunity to truly stop. There is always something to think about, organise, respond to or get done — and even when we finally sit down, our minds can carry on long after our bodies have stopped.
The Nest Hypno Sound Bath is a carefully designed immersive experience bringing together Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, therapeutic sound and silence.
For one hour, nothing is required of you. You simply lie back, get comfortable and allow yourself to become absorbed in the experience, while I guide you through deep relaxation, hypnosis and an immersive journey of sound.
Each experience has a carefully chosen therapeutic focus, using hypnotic suggestion, imagery and mental rehearsal to explore themes such as overthinking, balance, confidence, letting go and trusting yourself.
An hour to stop. Space to reset. Something to take into the week ahead.
What is a Hypno Sound Bath?
A Hypno Sound Bath brings together Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy and therapeutic sound in one immersive experience.
You’ll be guided into a deeply relaxed, focused state using gentle breathing, guided imagery and hypnosis. From there, sound becomes part of the experience — with crystal singing bowls, chimes and other therapeutic instruments creating layers of sound and resonance around you, alongside carefully placed moments of silence.
The hypnosis has a purpose too. Each Hypno Sound Bath explores a different therapeutic theme, using suggestion, imagery and mental rehearsal to help you practise ways of thinking, responding and relating to yourself that you can take beyond the session.
You don't need to know how to meditate, you don't need to have experienced hypnosis before, and you don't need to be good at “switching off”.
You simply get comfortable, listen to my voice and the sounds around you, and allow the experience to unfold.
Why can it feel so hard to truly stop?
Modern life asks us to be constantly available — thinking, planning, organising, responding, remembering and moving on to the next thing.
Even the things we do to look after ourselves can become another item on the list. Exercise. Eat well. Get enough sleep. Meditate. Take some time for yourself.
But our minds and bodies don't always slow down simply because we've decided to stop.
Nervous system regulation is about developing the ability to move more flexibly between activity and rest. Practices such as slower breathing, focused attention, guided relaxation, hypnosis, therapeutic sound and silence can all create opportunities to practise settling rather than constantly doing.
That's part of what a Hypno Sound Bath gives you: a whole hour in which you don't have to achieve anything at all.
No performance. No need to clear your mind. No need to be “good” at relaxing.
Just permission to stop.
What happens during a Hypno Sound Bath?
From the moment you arrive, the invitation is to begin doing less. Your space will already be prepared for you, so you can settle down, get comfortable and allow yourself to be guided through the experience.
Then I think we make this very visual and easy to scan, rather than another big block of prose:
ARRIVE & SETTLE
Find your space, get comfortable beneath your blanket and leave the outside world outside for a while.
BREATHE & FOCUS
We begin gently with breathing and focused attention, giving your mind somewhere simple to rest.
RELAX & IMAGINE
Guided hypnosis, imagery and progressive relaxation lead you deeper into the experience — there is nothing you need to make happen.
LISTEN & ABSORB
Crystal singing bowls, Koshi chimes and other therapeutic instruments move through the space around you, interwoven with my voice and moments of silence.
EXPLORE THE WEEK'S THEME
Each experience has a different therapeutic focus, using hypnotic suggestion and mental rehearsal around themes such as overthinking, balance, letting go, confidence and trust.
RETURN & TAKE IT WITH YOU
You'll be gently guided back, with time to notice how you feel before stepping back into your day — taking whatever felt useful from the experience with you.
A different focus each time
The journey into relaxation becomes reassuringly familiar, but the focus of each Hypno Sound Bath changes.
One experience might help you step back from overthinking. Another might explore balance, letting go, confidence or trusting yourself.
Through Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, I use carefully chosen hypnotic suggestions, imagery and mental rehearsal to explore that theme while you're deeply absorbed in the experience.
The intention isn't simply to help you feel relaxed for an hour — although that in itself can be incredibly valuable. It's to give you something useful to take with you when you leave.
